Monte's Tail-Wagging Blog: The Great Pine Tree Peanut Butter Sell-Out
Howdy, friends! It's me, Monte the Corgi, Chief Treat Inspector, Professional Floor Cleaner, and Full-Time Good Boy at Pawesome Bites.
Wow. What. A. Weekend.
Human Mom loaded up the car with boxes of our famous Pine Tree Peanut Butter Treats, and I honestly thought she had lost her mind. There were treats everywhere. The car looked like a peanut butter factory exploded.
Then the event started.
Dogs came.
Then more dogs came.
Then EVEN MORE dogs came.
Before I knew it, humans were grabbing Pine Tree Peanut Butter Treats faster than I can grab a snack that accidentally falls on the kitchen floor.
By the end of the event, Human Mom had sold almost all of them!
I was shocked.
Magnolia was shocked.
The squirrels were probably shocked too.
I kept checking the inventory to make sure nobody had accidentally left any behind for me. Sadly, Human Mom claims that's "not how business works."
Rude.
Today's Big Adventure: The Dreaded Vet Visit
Today, Magnolia and I are heading to the doctor to get our Lyme vaccines.
Human Mom says it is important.
I say it sounds suspicious.
Whenever someone says, "You won't even feel it," I immediately become concerned.
The doctor gets a treat.
The humans get a sticker.
I get poked.
Seems like a terrible trade agreement.
Why Human Mom Takes Lyme Disease Seriously
One reason Human Mom makes sure we're protected is because she struggles with Lyme disease every day.
She knows firsthand how much it can affect energy, joints, and daily life, and she never wants Magnolia or me to face anything that might be preventable. So while we'll be giving our best dramatic performance at the vet's office, Human Mom reminds us that a few seconds of bravery can help keep us healthy for years to come.
I suppose she's right.
Don't tell her I said that.
Magnolia Takes Over Cherryfield!
If you missed the last event, don't worry!
My sister Magnolia will be helping represent the family at the next event in Cherryfield. She has been practicing her meet-and-greet skills, smiling techniques, and treat quality control procedures.
By "quality control," I mean trying to eat everything.
Please stop by and say hello!
Important Question for Everybody
What treat do YOU think is going to be the most popular at the next event?
Will Pine Tree Peanut Butter remain the champion?
Will another flavor rise to power?
Will the dogs of Maine stage an organized campaign for more snacks?
Let us know!
Have You Tried October's Treat of the Month?
This month's special treat features cranberry and pumpkin, and let me tell you, it smells AMAZING.
Well... according to Magnolia.
Okay, fine.
According to me too.
One thing Human Mom is really proud of is how she prepares the cranberries. Instead of using cranberries loaded with extra sugars, syrups, or unnecessary additives, she cooks them down herself so our treats keep the delicious cranberry flavor without all the extra stuff dogs don't need.
It takes extra time.
It makes the kitchen smell fantastic.
And unfortunately, it still does not result in unlimited free treats for Monte.
Final Tail Wag
Before I go, Magnolia and I wanted to send some positive thoughts to our newest friend.
We're hoping that Wednesday brings better days and that our new friend is feeling much better soon.
Until next time, keep your tails wagging, your treats crunchy, and remember:
If a treat falls on the floor, I am available for emergency cleanup services.
Paws and peanut butter,
